Renaissance!
The rebirth of my LJ after my random hiatus... yes I be a strange child.
I'm still reading my Tsubasa, catching up on my absolutely gorgeous Godchild *Q* Kaori Yuki = ♥
College things are slowly piecing together... slowly
I did not mention here that I went to the wonderful country of Germany last week! :D Twas very much fun!
Sunday 8:00 AM arrival in Cologne (Koln). Rented a Mercedes-Benz station wagon and it was good :3 Went to Frankfurt. Wandered around Euro-less for about a good 4 hours, yea not smart. But tiredness caught up so went back to hotel for resting (and accidentally found the adult channel while channel surfing... entire family was in the room) Walked around Frankfurt's river at night, ate a good meal and walked some more. Really cool architecture :D
Monday. Frankfurt → Neuschwanstein Castle → Munich (Munchen). For the record, that's not a picture I took but it is the right castle XD There was a 3 hour ride to the castle which was absolutely gorgeous. Crazy man but he knew what he wanted in his castle. Ride up to Munich. Ate and slept. Overall pretty straightforward. The highlight was definitely the castle.
Tuesday. Munich (Munchen) → Berlin. Walked in on the Munich Carnival (equivalent of Mardi Gras or Rio de Janeiro's Carnival) Germans are slightly scary when pissed :D;; 5 hour trip to Berlin. Lots of crankiness and bitchiness involved. Ate Italian food in Berlin. Shocked to see everything but restaurants close at 8:00 PM at night...
Wednesday. Berlin. Took a sightseeing bus tour of Berlin. Saw the Berlin Wall, Checkpoint Charlie, the Brandenburg Gate, Bellevue (the president's house), the German Congress building, embassies and many other historically significant buildings. Wandered around the Berlin subway system, which was nice but completely unregulated... the trust they have in their people is actually quite frightening. Might of seen a car with Condie Rice in it, no idea but maybe. Walked to the top of the dome of the Congress building. Found a Chinese restaurant and returned to the hotel b/c of the 8 PM thing.
Thursday. Berlin → Cologne (Koln). Another 5 hour trip. But before leaving Berlin, I'd like to add that my brother purchased a Russian dead beaver hat. It's special, just like him. Arrived in Cologne. Saw the Dom, big church and wandered around the streets and stumbled onto a Spanish restaurant. They sold 1 L of water for 4 euros but their beer was infinitely cheaper. WTF? No wonder Germany is most well known for their beer. Returned back to the hotel since the 8 PM thing seemed to be national in Germany.
Friday. Cologne → Bonn → Cologne. Luckily Bonn is like a 10 minute ride, not even. Visited Beethoven's House, the house he was born in. Quite nice :O Street wandering in Bonn. Very well trained dogs in Germany. This dog (a Schnauzer) was sitting right at the entrance of the supermarket, waiting for its owner to come out. Even though people passed by it, it didn't move or make any motion to go inside the store. Damn well trained dog. Back to Cologne for some more street wandering. German restaurant for dinner tonight. Had beer instead of water but I can't stomach more than... maybe 50 mL of beer? So I got ice cream instead >3 Last night in Germany.
Saturday. Cologne Bonn Airport → Newark Liberty Airport → Home. 8 hour plane trip, movies were one horrible one I didn't even bother watching, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and Sweet Home Alabama (which I might add was the WORST movie I think I've ever laid my poor eyes upon). Saw an episode of Everybody Loves Raymond and returned home to take a nap at around 6 PM and didn't wake up until 6:30 AM Sunday.
So that was my week. Quite eventful, I'm sure no one actually took the time to read all of that XD
This week, my major accomplishments include my 1:10 AM - 6:20 AM Tuesday Psychology Paper due on Tuesday which stretched about 4 1/2 pages. I took naps ahead of time so I did rest XD I had a college interview today which I think went very well :DDD I couldn't stop smiling after my interview X3
So that's what's been up with me... :D
